CAMP Modern American Eatery

I don’t spend the time to post a review unless it’s truly worth sharing with others. This is a special restaurant. I could tell you all about the dishes and cocktails we enjoyed but it’s truly best to not share the details but let you go experience it yourself. I am sharing a pic of one of the small plates enjoyed during our time at CAMP. Go and sit at the chef’s counter if possible. It was a delightful evening.

A Culinary Gem for Friends and Family From the moment you step into CAMP Modern American Eatery, you’re greeted with a warm atmosphere that perfectly balances sophistication with a welcoming, family-friendly vibe. It’s a place where the laughter and conversations of friends blend seamlessly with the clinking of glasses and the tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen. The menu is a delightful journey through modern American cuisine, with each dish showcasing the chef’s creativity and passion for quality ingredients. The octopus is a standout, tender and perfectly cooked, each bite a testament to the kitchen’s expertise. Equally impressive are the skirt pinchos, a dish that effortlessly combines bold flavors and a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that leaves you craving for more. The service at CAMP is impeccable. Attentive without being intrusive, the staff ensures that every aspect of your dining experience is perfect. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely seem to take pride in their work, adding to the overall exceptional experience. Whether it’s a casual meal with friends or a family gathering, CAMP Modern American Eatery is a choice you won’t regret. This was my first visit, but it certainly won’t be my last. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. I love that they change their menu, so that you get to try new things every time you come, and that the dishes are small. Update 6/17: It seems they changed their skirt steak marinade, which wasn't as flavoable as the various times we have been there. We also tasted a new special-some mashed bean dish. It wasn't bad, but it was way too heavy and wasn't for our pallet. We will be back because we have been very impressed with all their dishes so far. Amazing work. Update: absolutely the best. Wonderful service also. This place will be a regular for my husband and myself.

Camp was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in our memory. Julia was our server, she was one of the most helpful and friendly waitresses I’ve ever had. We sat outside. We had a great mix of fancy dining and casual atmosphere here. The food was incredible. We got a fair selection of the menu and everything we ate was impeccable. You can tell that the chef takes care and time developing complex and well rounded flavors for every plate. Will definitely be back!

Solid restaurant. Energetic vibe. Attentive and informed service. Excellent wine list (though disappointed they were out of Priorat). Fun to sit at the Chef’s Counter. Asian-influenced menu. Banana split profiteroles were the culinary highlight. Excellent pastry filled with banana, strawberry and vanilla ice creams. Chopped pineapples and cherry sauce underneath. Drizzled with chocolate. Very yum! Tostada on tuna crudo was unfortunately soggy. Not much flavor, unfortunately. Dumplings were good, but nothing spectacular. Again, the sauce needed a bit more kick IMHO (Sriracha or Gochujang). RECOMMENDED

Loved Camp. I would say Modern American menu is on point with an international twist. As a Miami-an and a traveler, I enjoy global cuisine. I knew it from the menu that the Chef and team have a cultured palate. I like the simplicity most of this restaurant with its design, presentation and their approach to deliver the visitors like myself and locals of Greenville something more cutting edge to this city.
